The fall class schedule is here! Please check this website for information about fall classes, tuition and registration. Fall is filled with classes, rehearsals, performances and other special days, so make sure you take a look at the school calendar. And please check this website periodically for updates.

Cultural Events in Hyde Park
September is not very far away, so mark your calendars now for two great Hyde Park events. Don’t miss the second annual Hyde Park Jazz Festival on September 27. The Festival brings together world-class headliners and local emerging artists for 14 hours of free, non-stop jazz for both the serious and casual listener, in venues throughout the neighborhood. Check out their website for more information . . . Another annual favorite event, the 57th Street Children’s Book Fair, is scheduled for Sunday, September 28. Books, storytelling, performances and more are all a part of this great family event. And don’t miss the Hyde Park School Dance! Our students will be performing on the Kimbark Avenue Stage.
Level 41
HPSD celebrated dance on May 29 by welcoming 200 guests to our gala benefit performance of Level 41. Held at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts, the evening featured a 20-year retrospective of choreography by artistic director August Tye, who was honored as HPSD’s Artist of the Year. The event exceeded our fundraising goal of $40,000, raising $43,000 though sponsorships, a very successful silent auction, ticket sales and general contributions. More than half of the proceeds will be used to support the School’s training, performance and community programs serving Chicago’s South Side. Many thanks go to Gala Chair Susan Loeb for making this a wonderful evening, and to all of the generous volunteers and supporters who helped to make it such a success.
